we all just want to be mad
Bio:
While staying in her estranged family house, which slowly becomes a home, Arabella grapples with a deep self-consciousness that keeps her passive and hesitant. Over time, she learns to take initiative, driven by her desire to be with Fred. A dry, wry comedy with a touch of romance, the film follows Arabella, who hates her own name, set against the quietly magical backdrop of Scotland.
The house sits alone on a loch, as it has for years. It is filled with the same familiar remnants of time: a fuzzy green carpet in the kitchen, a tartan bedroom, a tiled bathroom, curtains once red, now faded to a tarnished orange. Nothing has changed, and yet everything slowly does.
